What we did

In Quelfes, in the municipality of Olhão, this exterior villa painting project was carried out in 2025: repairs to the façades and a full repaint in Novaqua HD, a 100% acrylic paint by CIN. It is the sage-green house that opens the home page of this website.

The villa is single storey, with a timber pergola running along the pool side, dark green shutters and white trims, including an arched staircase on the side elevation. Before painting, the façades were repaired so the colour would sit on a sound substrate with no visible defects.

The windows were sheeted in plastic throughout the painting. The progress photographs show two stages on the same façade: first in grey, then in the final sage green, with the openings still covered. Only at the end is the protection removed and the edges along the window frames checked.

The paint chosen was Novaqua HD, a 100% acrylic paint by CIN, applied to every elevation: the pool side, both ends and the back. A colour like this only works if it is identical around the whole house, with no difference in shade between walls painted on different days.

For the owner, the result is the same green on every elevation and crisp white trims that pick out the staircase, the openings and the corners against the colour.
