Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. IMPIC licence (alvará) no. 151991-PUB and public liability insurance (Allianz).
Do you coordinate the other trades?
Yes. We work with our own team of four and, on larger projects, with subcontractors. On our side, the project has a single point of contact.
I'm not in Portugal most of the year. Can I follow the work remotely?
Yes — it is common in the Algarve. At the start of the work we agree with you how we will keep you updated.
How long does a refurbishment take?
It depends on the scope. The timescale is agreed in the proposal, before work begins.
Is the work guaranteed?
Work carried out by Master's Touch is covered by the applicable legal guarantee and/or the guarantee set out in the contract, according to the nature and type of work. The guarantee covers workmanship defects attributable to the work carried out. It does not cover problems arising from damp or water ingress of external origin, structural causes, work by third parties, improper use, lack of maintenance, force majeure or areas that were not worked on.
How much does a villa refurbishment cost in the Algarve?
It depends on the scope, the materials and the condition of what is already there. After the visit we send a proposal with the scope and timescale defined. The site visit and quote are at no cost.
Do you refurbish villas in Vale do Lobo, Almancil and Loulé?
Yes. In Vale do Lobo we lined walls in plasterboard, applied a plaster-style skim coat and painted walls, ceilings, doors and wardrobes. We work across the Algarve, from Lagos to Tavira.
